Tom Brady Could Play Friday After Knee Injury
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady attended position meetings with teammates Wednesday night and plans to rejoin practices with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday and then play against them in Friday night's preseason game, sources said Thursday morning.
That all assumes that Brady does not experience an increase in pain or swelling in his left knee overnight and that he is cleared by team doctors scheduled to re-examine him at Gillette Stadium Thursday morning. The preliminary diagnosis following an MRI on Brady's knee indicated there was no structural damage. While there have been reports that the knee is sprained, Brady has described symptoms more consistent with a bruise.
