Toledo senior All-MAC wide receiver Bernard Reedy may have poked a dragon he didn’t intend to wake up with his comments earlier this week.
Here’s what he said:
“Since I’ve been watching film on them, I’ve seen that late in the game … they still don’t go as hard as they do in the first and second quarters,” Reedy told reporters. “So I feel like if we can just keep pressure on them the whole game, we could eventually wear them down.”
I’m not sure what film he was watching, but Florida won at Texas A&M, vs. LSU and at Florida State last season with strong second-half showings.
Nonetheless, the comments of Reedy probably won’t change the outcome of the game, as No. 10 Florida is a 23.5-point favorite.
Still, he probably should have kept his mouth shut and done his talking on the field.
