It’s starting to look like Georgia will be without running back Todd Gurley again this week. After sounding somewhat optimistic about Gurley’s status earlier this week, Georgia coach Mark Richt’s glass sounded half-empty on Wednesday.
“We’re preparing to play without him,” said Richt.
Richt also said that Gurley participated in practice on Wednesday, but “not at a tempo that will make you feel like he’ll have a chance. If we played tomorrow, he wouldn’t be playing tomorrow, I know that.”
Gurley hasn’t played since suffering a high-ankle sprain against LSU on September 28, missing Georgia’s last two games against Tennessee and Missouri. The Bulldogs needed overtime to overcome Tennessee and lost to Missouri last week without him.
