Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt raised a stink last week about the team’s decision to bench him for a spell against the Texans as a commentary about his sloppy blocking and route running.
Britt objected to the rationale for the move, so we’ll have to wait to see if he has any thoughts on the team’s decision to leave him off the field again against the Chargers. Britt wasn’t part of the lineup during the game-winning drive and as the Titans thought rookie Justin Hunter was a better fit, a choice that looked pretty good when Hunter caught the game-winning touchdown.
The first three weeks have made it pretty clear that Britt’s just running out the clock in Tennessee. Hunter’s clearly on the other end of the spectrum as Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said that Hunter “is going to be an extremely special player”. Their playing time going forward will likely reflect those truths.
