The Time Has Come: Gators Drop Out of Top 25

It was pretty much a matter of time.

The Gators have finally fallen out of the Associated Press Top 25.

After their 36-17 loss to Missouri on Saturday, the Florida Gators have completed their plummet out of the top 25.

In case you weren’t convinced the “second-string” Gators would eventually come crashing down to Earth, they have now lost two consecutive road games, looking unbelievably bad in each one. The offense was nonexistent in their 17-6 loss to LSU, and neither the offense nor the defense showed up in their 36-17 loss to Missouri. And finally, the Gators are unranked.

Meanwhile, Missouri moved up to No. 5 thanks to the victory. They replaced Clemson, who fell out of the top five to No. 9 after being shellacked by now-No. 3 Florida State 51-14.

The rest of the top five stayed the same, with No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Oregon and No. 4 Ohio State.
