Terry Bradshaw: Disappointed in Freeman

Today on the NFL on Fox pregame show analyst Terry Bradshaw addressed the problems of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their quarterback Josh Freeman. As you would expect Bradshaw's response brought an instant response from his fellow Fox analyst Howie Long.

Here is their exchange:

Bradshaw reacts to the situation in Tampa Bay: Im disappointed in Freeman. Coach Schiano knew what kind of quarterback they had and they put him on a short leash from the beginning of the season. To be late for meetings as the quarterback is inexcusable. To miss the team picture thats on aSaturday- how in the world does that happen? The fact that he didnt put in the time to study and prepare himself just proves that they had to set him down. Im disappointed in Josh for him wanting out so easily. Have you heard about fighting for your job? Have you heard of going in early and staying late? You dream of this opportunity when you are a child and to go to the side like this, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Long reacts to Bradshaws assessment: I disagree. Were talking about a quarterback who is young and two years ago was a Pro Bowl level quarterback. The writing to a certain extent was on the wall. The team was splitting snaps from the beginning of the season. What kind of message does that send to your franchise quarterback? This kid needs to take care of the inconsistencies and get it together. I dont think weve seen the last of Josh Freeman.
