Steelers Back In The Mix After Drubbing Redskins
The typically gruff coach allowed his team is heading in the right direction after a relatively easy 27-12 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday. The Steelers held explosive rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III in check and limited the NFL’s top rushing team to a season-low 86 yards.
The offense continued to thrive under new coordinator Todd Haley. Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger tossed three touchdown passes and wasn’t sacked for the second time this season.
Tackle Max Starks says the Steelers (4-3) have stopped digging a hole for themselves and started laying a foundation for a successful season.
Pittsburgh will look for its third straight win next weekend against the Super Bowl champion New York Giants.
