Stanley Cup Finals: Bruins Tuukka Rask On Game 6
BOSTON BRUINS GOALTENDER TUUKKA RASK spoke to the media Sunday night about game six versus the Chicago Blackhawks.
On if Game 5 was different from his viewpoint?
A little bit, yeah. I thought right off the bat we looked a little nervous. We didn?t make plays. We didn?t make passes. It didn?t cost us right away but after the first minute or two we kind of settled in. Both teams had chances. It wasn?t as bad as it has been in previous games.
On how much confidence he can take from 2011 and how the team always has life?
Well, you always have life until it?s over. This is a new season. Obviously, we know what we did in the past but it?s not going to help us tomorrow on the ice. We still have to go out there and make it happen.
On if it can be done?
It can be. Yeah, I mean it?s not lost on anybody.
On if they win and get to celebrate on their ice?
I don?t think anybody wants that to happen. We are definitely going to do everything we can, not to have that happen.
On if he feels like this team has a lot more in the tank?
Yeah, I mean we?ve played some good hockey at times. We haven?t really played 60 minutes of great hockey. Tomorrow has to be the day.
On if Jonathan Toews not playing has any impact from his viewpoint?
On the combination of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane?
Well, they changed their lines, right? I don?t know they are both such good players that no matter who they play with they are going to make plays. Now that they are playing together, they are finding each other and making those plays so we have to be careful with them.
On Zdeno Chara struggling to contain Toews and Kane or if it is something more?
No I wouldn?t do that?He plays a lot, obviously. So you can?t get those minuses too. He?s playing against the best players. It?s not so easy to shut them down all the time. He usually does a great job with that and I have no doubts in him.
On the impact of Patrice Bergeron and whether it is a huge blow if he doesn?t play?
It is. He plays in every situation. He plays faceoffs, power play, penalty kill. It would be a huge loss for us but, then again, we can?t be feeling sorry for ourselves. We just have to play with the guys we have.
