Source: Pujols Agrees to Deal With Angels

DALLAS (AP) — A person familiar with the negotiations says that three-time NL MVP Albert Pujols (POO’-hohls) has agreed to a 10-year contract with the Los Angeles Angels. The person spoke on condition of anonymity Thursday because the deal had not been announced.

Pujols, who led the St. Louis Cardinals to a World Series title this fall, had been pursued by the Miami Marlins, but they dropped out Wednesday after agreeing to a deal with pitcher Mark Buehrle (BER’-lee).

ESPN first reported the Pujols deal.
