U.S. Gets Much-Needed W

LJUBLJANA, Slovenia (AP) – With the offense finally showing signs of life, the U.S. men’s soccer team won an international friendly 3-2 on a foggy night in Slovenia.

It’s only their second win since Jurgen Klinsmann took over as coach,

Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore (JOH’-zee AL’-tih-door) scored in a two-minute span late in the first half to lead the Americans.

The U.S. had been outscored 5-2 while going 1-4-1 in Klinsmann’s first six games since replacing Bob Bradley on the sideline.
