Jozy Altidore strained his hamstring and went down in the first game of the World Cup for the USMNT. He hasn’t seen any in-game action since then, but reports are that he is recovering nicely and running during practice.
Jozy Altidore jogging some laps around the practice field. Now getting stretched out. Ready by Tuesday?

Beautiful day of training at Paulo FC, Jozy Altidore jogging around field at a good clip, no obvious signs of an issue

Does this mean that Altidore will return for the Belgium game? Not necessarily, but it does mean he’s that much closer to playing in this year’s World Cup. That’s at least encouraging for the American team as they have little to stand on after a dominating loss to Germany heading into the knockout round.
