The 27-year-old Colombian-American won the 2013 USL MVP and earned a spot on the All-League First Team after scoring 15 goals and having four assists. He and Orlando City SC striker Dom Dwyer both won the USL Golden Boot for setting the single season record for goals, which would be broken the next season.
Angulo will join fellow forward Aly Alberto Hassan on the Strikers’ front line of attack. Hassan scored three goals with five starts in 19 league appearances in 2014.
Angulo has scored 32 goals in his 74 appearances throughout three seasons in the USL. He has made pre-season appearances with MLS teams New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls.
