Should the Rays Move to New Jersey?
Major League Baseball’s most prestigious agent, Scott Boras, has a solution: Move the Rays to New Jersey.
“I think there’s a lot of cities that may attract them, but I don’t know…maybe…maybe New Jersey would like their win percentage,” Boras said, completing his takedown of the Tampa Bay market in the JW Marriott Lobby at the GM Meetings Wednesday.
New Jersey has not hosted a Major League Baseball game since 1957 when the Brooklyn Dodgers played a handful of games in Jersey City.
The highest level of professional baseball currently in the state is the Yankees’ Double-A affiliate in Trenton.
