John Scott, the massive enforcer for the Sabres, was on the ice and lined up Bruins forward Loui Eriksson from across the ice. By the time he met Eriksson in the neutral zone, the result was a vicious shot to the head on Eriksson that earned Scott a five-minute major and caused a massive hailstorm.
It will also undoubtedly result in a suspension in the coming days for Scott.
“I’m not going to comment on it,” coach Ron Rolston said. Rolston is drawing just as much fire as Scott with the timing and situation of this hit happening. This isn’t the first time that Rolston’s Sabres have had a situation erupt involving Scott either.
