Riley Cooper Gets In Fight With Cary Williams
The fracas occurred about a half-hour into practice, while reporters were still allowed to be on the sidelines. The cause of the altercation isn’t entirely clear — players will address the media after practice — but Williams had been covering Cooper on the play. Both went to the ground and started scuffling until they were separated. (UPDATE: Cooper said fight had nothing to do the racial slur he made earlier this summer.)
Michael Vick and Brandon Boykin were among the peacemakers, but Williams kept jawing at Cooper after the fight had been broken up. The fiery Williams was eventually held back by Vick as Cooper walked away.
Williams, a former Ravens corner who last year scrapped with DeSean Jackson during an Eagles game against Baltimore, is known for his aggression on the field. He was fortunate not to get thrown out of the Super Bowl after shoving a referee during a scuffle between the Ravens and Niners.
