Fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers complaining about having to buy new Mark Barron jerseys: Darrelle Revis may have had it much, much worse.
According the website Uni-Watch (h/t to Brian McIntyre of Yahoo’s Shutdown Corner) the superstar cornerback, who has worn the No. 24 jersey his entire NFL career, shelled out $50,000 to second-year safety Mark Barron to have the jersey.
The terms of most NFL jersey acquisitions are kept private. Neither Revis or Barron have commented on it so far, and the team likely won’t either.
Barron, last year’s seventh-overall draft pick, will wear No. 23.
