Report: Cowboys Considering Brian Urlacher
Ed Werder of ESPN reports that the Cowboys are considering replacing Sean Lee, who will miss the entire 2014 season with an ACL tear, with Brian Urlacher. He says he thinks the replacement is unlikely and he's told that nothing is imminent yet. He did mention however, that the Cowboys took interest in Urlancher when Lee got hurt.
Per Werder, the Cowboys have internally discussed Urlacher and New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, and watched and evaluated the tape. A team source says there's " not much interest" in the deal.
Cowboys evaluating all options for replacing LB Sean Lee, including vets like Brian Urlacher and Jon Vilma. Will likely be 2-player platoon— Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) June 2, 2014
I believe Brian Urlacher unlikely _ and I'm told nothing imminent _ but source says he took notice when Sean Lee hurt. Mentioned Cowboys LY— Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) June 2, 2014

Appeal of Brian Urlacher to Dallas: experience in Rod Marinelli D, communicate calls. Leadership. Speed in space. But poor change direction.— Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) June 2, 2014
Despite one opinion to the contrary, I don't think it is inconsistent to report Cowboys considering Brian Urlacher, then quantify interest.— Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) June 2, 2014
