Report: Bucs’ Nicks Suffering from Nerve Damage
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have thought the MRSA outbreak was behind the organization, but a recent report from FOX Sports’ Mike Garafalo suggests otherwise.
Pro Bowl left guard Carl Nicks continues to suffer from issues in his foot and may be suffering from nerve damage as in his foot, not as a result of the infection but from the torn plantar plate that shortened his 2012 season.
Nicks has seen a series of doctors in hopes of finding an answer for the issue.
He was sidelined for nine games in 2012 and limited during training camp before contracting MRSA and missing all but two games during the 2013 regular season.
On Friday, head coach Greg Schiano confirmed that Nicks would not play again in the 2013 season, but this news, along with sources familiar with Nicks’ situation, suggests Nicks’ playing days may be numbered, if not over.Report: Bucs' Nicks Suffering from Nerve Damage by Jenna Laine
