Remembering Hank Aaron’s 715th Home Run
Posted By Charles Mager On April 8, 2014 @ 1:58 PM In MLB | No Comments
Most people of the popular opinion believe that Aaron is the ‘true’ home run leader and rightfully so: what is interesting about Aaron’s career is the fact that the guy never played a season where he hit 50 home runs or more. The highest home run total in a single season for the former Atlanta slugger was 47 in 1971.
After 23 seasons in the big leagues, Aaron won a world championship in 1957 with the Milwaukee Braves, three gold glove awards, a National League MVP in 1957, passed the Great Bambino as the all-time leader in home runs and remains the all-time leader in career RBI’s with 2,297.
The Hall of Famer has proven that he could play the game of baseball without the usage of PED’s, corking his bat or any other shortcuts that many modern day sluggers have taken to receive their moments of fame.
Let’s take a moment today and remember one of the greatest ballplayers of all time.
