Redskins' Morris Only Has Bruised Ribs

Redskins_Alfred_Morris_2012Washington Redskins starting running back Alfred Morris left the third quarter of Sunday?s 24-14 win over the Oakland Raiders having suffered what the team described as a rib contusion.

Morris didn?t speak to reporters after the game, and the Redskins didn?t yet know how seriously bruised his ribs were. Fortunately for Morris, the Redskins have a bye this coming week and will not play again until Oct. 13 at Dallas.

?Alfred?s ribs are a little sore right now,? Coach Mike Shanahan said. ?I don?t know how serious it is, but we?ll wait and see on that.?
