Redskins could bench RGIII
The rumors are running as fast of the wind here in the Nation’s Capital that the Washington Redskins are considering benching franchise quarterback Robert Griffin, III for the rest of the 2013 season. The team feels that it might be in the best interest of Griffin if he gets a rest for of the season and allows his back up Kirk Cousins finish out the season.
According to CBS Washington Mike Shanahan says a decision has not been made regarding Robert Griffin III’s status for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
If Kirk Cousins starts in place of Griffin in Atlanta, he would be deemed the Redskins starter for the remainder of the season.
