Recruit from Florida Commits to Three Schools
One recruit seemed a little indecisive on Signing Day.
It’s even possible that Dacorius Law may have been a bit overexcited.
The running back recruit from Haines City, FL, signed letters of intent with Utah, Mississippi and East Mississippi Community College.
The resulting confusion led both Utah and Ole Miss to announce that Law would play for them.
Things became a bit clearer on Thursday as Ole Miss graciously released the three-star recruit from his letter with the Rebels, clearing the way for Law to go to Utah if he qualifies academically. If that doesn’t happen, he’ll probably head to EMCC.
Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze released a statement on Law:
“Our compliance department is cooperating fully with the NLI office on this matter. We are completely certain no wrongdoing occurred by our coaching or compliance staff. Regardless of the outcome of the findings, we want the young man to attend the school he wants. After talking with D.J. and his family, we are releasing him from his NLI and wish him the best. We have put this matter behind us and plan to make best use of that scholarship.”
If this past week is any indication of his future, his college career could be quite entertaining.
