Rays Vs Royals – Lineups

Matt Moore Takes The Ball For The Rays First Road Game

The Tampa Bay Rays will play their first road game of the season against the Kansas City Royals – a team which beat them six out of seven meetings last season.

It is the first of a nine game road trip for the Rays but the 3-city 10-game road trip is something that many players look forward to. “Some players don’t feel like the season has started until we go on a road trip,” said Rays pitcher Alex Cobb [1] after yesterday’s game.

Tonight Matt Moore [2] (0-1, 3.18 ERA) will be opposed by fellow lefty Jason Vargas [3] (0-0, 1.29 ERA).

The Rays will once again go with a predominately right handed hitting lineup. The lineup will feature eight right handed bats with James Loney [4] being the only lefty.

Rays Lineup:

Desmond Jennings [5] (CF), Wil Myers [6] (RF), Ben Zobrist [7] (2b), Evan Longoria [8] (3b), Logan Forsythe [9] (DH), James Loney [4] (1b), Sean Rodriguez [10] (LF), Ryan Hanigan [11] (C), and Yunel Escobar [12] (SS)
