Rams Are Considering Mark Sanchez
Mark Sanchez is without a team to play for and he's not exactly a sought-after player in free agency. He didn't play at all in the 2013 regular season, but there is one team pointing their radar in his direction.
The St. Louis Rams have mentioned that they could potentially be home for the former New York Jets player. According to USA Today, Rams coach Jeff Fisher is interested in Sanchez as a backup to their starter, Sam Bradford.
?I?d say that there is interest. I can?t say how much, but there certainly would be interest. I don?t have a backup with experience on the roster right now.?
Now that the Jets have Michael Vick, Sanchez should be grateful for any opportunity that comes his way.?Becoming a starter is probably not exactly in the cards for Sanchez at this point, but backing up Bradford wouldn?t be the worst gig in the world.
According to NESN, the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2010 has yet to develop into an elite or even Pro Bowl-caliber quarterback, and injuries limited him to 10 games in 2011 and seven last season. Bradford was efficient in the games he did play last year, though, completing 60.7 percent of his passes for 1,687 yards and 13 touchdowns with just four interception.
