CLEVELAND — Cleveland Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer suffered a sprained right knee less than five minutes into Thursday’s 37-24 win against the Buffalo Bills and was later ruled out for the rest of the game.
After the game, Hoyer was on crutches with his right knee immobilized. He was only putting weight on his left leg. He will go to the Cleveland Clinic Friday for an MRI on a sprained knee. Hoyer’s quick ascension to the starting job with the Browns could be derailed with what could be a very serious knee injury.
“It’s serious enough that we’ll get an MRI on it tomorrow,” said coach Rob Chudzinski.
That’s as far as he would go.
