Both the Seminoles and Gators came up empty last night.

The Under Armour All America Game was played last night in St. Petersburg, FL. Every year this game provides us with a look into the future of college football. Typically the attendance for this game is minimal, mainly because most of the drama unfolds on television. Florida State and Florida are always among the top recruiting classes in the nation; how did they do last night? They both watched conference rivals get better while they got snubbed.

Many of the top high school players in the country enter the game “undecided” as to where they will play their college ball. Or at least they haven’t gone public with their intent.

Last night, five players announce on national television exactly where they planned to play football next season.

ATH: Kendell Beckwith (6’3” – 225 lbs) – LSU

Beckwith announced during the first quarter that he will stay close to home (Jackson, LA)

DE: Ebenezer Ogundeko (6’3” – 229 lbs) – CLEMSON

The Syracuse Orange made a strong push to land the New York native but ultimately Ogundeko chose a different ACC team to represent.

LB: Trey Johnson (6’1” – 215 lbs) – OHIO ST

After an undefeated season in 2012, Urban Meyer has to be excited about his team entering 2013. Plus, Johnson turned down an offer from Florida, Meyer’s former team.

S: Max Redfield (6’3” – 195 lbs) – NOTRE DAME

Redfield had once committed to USC before choosing South Bend as his collegiate home.

S: Leon McQuay III (6’2” – 183 lbs) – USC

A local of  Seffner, McQuay III turned down an offer from Florida State. He joins a great USC class.
