Pacers Are In A Bad Mindset

Thursday night the Atlanta Hawks beat the Indiana Pacers in all aspects winning 98-85, taking a 2-1 series lead.
If you take away the seeding and just watch the film, the Hawks look like the team that finished with the number one seed in the Eastern Conference.
Pacers star Paul George had no points in the first half while center Roy Hibbert finished with just four points and two rebounds. Mind you this is a 7’2 two-time NBA All-Star center.
Larry Bird sat in attendance showing his frustration with the way his club has been playing, even though he may be a fault for the teams disfunction on and off the court.
It was reported earlier this week that new acquisition Evan Turner and Lance Stephenson got into a heated exchanged before game one against Atlanta.
Turner who came over from Philadelphia sending lock room favorite Danny Granger to the Los Angeles Clippers, not only upset the players who were close to him but became a threat for Stephenson who will become a free agent this off-season.
Anyone who has played the game of basketball understands the importance of team chemistry and on-court confidence. Something Bird should have recognized before making such a deal.
Now the Pacers are two loses away from becoming the most disappointing team in NBA history.
The Miami Heat big three must be somewhere laughing, knowing when you bring the spot light on yourself you better be ready to live up to the hype and expectations.
Pacers head coach Frank Vogel must find a way to maximize the players who are wiling to give effort and play with confidence, possibly inserting Luis Scola, Cj Watson and Ian Mahinmi into the starting line-up.
The “Bad boy Pistons,” Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and the Shaq and Kobe Lakers all faced adversity before winning a championship. We will find out soon if the Pacers can become the next team to do so or if they are just paper champions.Pacers Are In A Bad Mindset by David Gaulman
