Ortiz Blasts Longest Fenway HR Since ’06
Although Red Sox lost to 9-3 the Yankees Tuesday night, in the fourth inning David Ortiz took Masahiro Tanaka for a ride on a 482-foot deep solo home run. Here’s the hit:
According to ESPN’s Home Run Tracker, that is the longest homer at Fenway Park since July 30, 2006, when Vladimir Guerrero hit a 484-foot bomb off Curt Schilling.
Sadly the video of Schilling’s home run isn’t anywhere to be found.
