Orlando Magic Sign Guard Ronnie Price
Were excited to welcome Ronnie (Price) and his family to the Magic organization, said General Manager Rob Hennigan in a statement. We believe Ronnies toughness and competitive spirit, along with the varied experiences hes gained throughout his career, will impact the development of our team in a positive way.
The terms of the deal will be disclosed at a later date.
The Magic will be Prices fifth NBA team in this eight-year career. He previously played for the Kings, Jazz, Suns and most recently the Trail Blazers. The Trail Blazers waived Price on Feb. 21, 2013.
Last season in Portland, Price, 30 averaged 2.7 ppg., 1.9 apg., 1.1 rpg., 13.1 minpg. in 39 games. The 30-year-old Texas native has career averages of 3.5 points, 1.4 assists and 1.1 rebounds. The Trail Blazers waived Price on Feb. 21, 2013.
In 28 career playoff outings, Price has averaged 2.2 ppg. and 1.1 apg. in 6.5 minpg.
From the looks of it Hennigan is looking to beef up the backcourt. Price will most likely come off the bench behind Jameer Nelson and rookie Victor Oladipo.
