Orlando Magic Introduce Draft Picks
Orlando’s General Manager Rob Hennigan decided to go with Gordon, a defensive 6-foot-9 forward from Arizona as the No.4 pick of the draft. With the 12th pick, Hennigan drafted Croatian forward Dario Saric but immediately traded him to the Philadelphia 76ers for Elfrid Payton, a young point guard from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette known also for his defense.
The Magic also selected Roy Devyn Marble with the 56th pick of the NBA Draft. The Magic acquired the second round pick from the Denver Nuggets via a trade that included Arron Afflalo and Evan Fournier.
Marble is a 6-foot-6 guard that played four years at the University of Iowa. Marble is following in his father’s footsteps. His father also played at the University of Iowa and was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the 1989 NBA Draft.
Gordon,18, will be wearing No. 00, Payton, 20, will wear No. 4 and Marble, 21, will wear No. 8 this coming season.
