Marlon Humphrey, a recruit who plans to father in his father’s legacy has chosen to play college football for the Crimson Tide. As a five-star cornerback, Humphrey chose to stay close to home and committed to Alabama Wednesday morning.
Humphrey, the No. 15 overall prospect — and fifth-ranked CB — in the ESPN 300 rankings out of Hoover (Ala.) High School, chose Alabama over Florida State and a slew of other offers.
He had long kept his recruitment quiet and not saying much to media, leading many to wonder whether he’d make the most obvious choice as his father, Bobby, was an All-American running back for the Tide in the late 1980s.
Thanks for everyone that has supported me this far I’m happy to say I am committed to the University of Alabama!! #RollTide
