NHL NEWS: Game 4
Trailing 2-1, the Los Angeles Kings were so close to sending Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals to overtime. They were millimeters away from doing so, but some ice buildup and a desperate Derek Stepan, helped preserve a 2-1 win for the New York Rangers and extends the series.
With just over a minute to play, Tanner Pearson broke toward the New York Rangers net. He sent a pass through goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, who blocked it just enough to slow it down. The puck slid towards the goal line and appeared as though it would go over, but then it slowed down. Next, Stepan dove into the crease and with an open glove, pushed it under his goaltender.
