The trickling out of the Nike-designed jerseys for the 2014 Olympics continued Friday when Swedish news outlet Aftonbladet revealed the first photos Sweden’s gold jerseys for Sochi.
The jersey is mostly classic from Sweden’s typical national team jerseys with the three crowns simply displayed as the main logo. But since this is Nike and nothing can be simple this Olympics, they added some flair.
Like most of the jerseys Nike designed, the shoulders are where things get really tacky. Unlike the U.S. jerseys with matte blue stars or the Canada jerseys with matte maple leaves, the Swedes have a matte Viking ship.
The striping at the bottom is great, but without any continuation onto the sleeves it looks more like a practice jersey.
