"NHL Stadium Series" this weekend
Saturday night at Dodger Stadium on the " Freeway Rivals," the Los Angeles Kings will faceoff against the??Anaheim Ducks in game one of the?2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series.
Right now the?Saturday forecast in LA?calls for a high of 77 and a low of 52 with partly cloudy skies and no rain. The game will be played at night under the lights to try and get the most ideal temperatures as possible and the NHL can definitely work with temperatures in the 50s. In other words, Mother Nature looks like she's doing her part to be as accomdating as possible in such a locale.
Coverage of Ducks-Kings begins at?9:30 p.m. ET on?NBCSN?with?NHL Live?on-site at Dodger Stadium, hosted by Russ Thaler alongside analysts and former NHL players Jeremy Roenick and Anson Carter. Dave Strader (play-by-play), Brian Engblom (analyst) and Roenick will have the call from Dodger Stadium, inside the same broadcast booth that usually hosts legendary Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully. The Ducks are the top team in the NHL (37-9-5, 79 pts) and have not lost at home in regulation this season (20-0-2), while the Kings (29-15-6, 64 pts) have allowed the fewest goals in the NHL (103).
Sunday things move to New York and Yankee Stadium where the Rangers and the New Jersey Devils ?will face off. The weather forcasts call for temps around 20 degrees with an 18 mile per hour wind. No snow is in the forcast but with the wind chill you are looking at very uncomfortable conditions.
The game is set to start at 12:30 p.m. on NBC with?Mike 'Doc' Emrick, analyst Eddie Olczyk and 'Inside-the-Glass' analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call from The Bronx. NHL Live's Liam McHugh (host), Mike Milbury (analyst), Keith Jones (analyst), and Roenick will be on-site at Yankee Stadium to provide pre- and post-game analysis, as well as commentary during intermissions. Roenick will be flying directly from Dodger Stadium to Yankee Stadium in time to provide commentary for Devils-Rangers, following the Ducks-Kings game in Los Angeles.
