NHL Playoff Power Rankings: Kings Can Repeat
One of the best aspects of the NHL playoffs is watching the eighth seed upset the one seed. The Los Angeles Kings won the Stanley Cup last year as an eighth seed. This year the Kings are a fifth seed and have the potential to cause more damage in the playoffs. They are one of the most consistent teams in the playoffs; ranked 10th in goals for, eighth in goals against, 10th on the power play and 10th on the penalty kill. This consistency will cause headaches for other coaches as they try to game-plan for a seven-game series. The Kings match-up well against the fourth seed St. Louis Blues who are 17th in goals for, seventh in goals against, 12th on the power play and seventh on the penalty kill.
The Blues are hot coming into the playoffs winning seven of their last 10 games, and three straight entering the playoffs. The Kings know what it takes to win in the playoffs and they should take care of business against the Blues (Kings in 6-games).
