NHL: Clinching Senarios For 4-11

Per the NHL Public Relations Department here are your potential clinching scenarios:

Boston Bruins:

The B's can clinch the President's Trophy if they defeat the Sabers or get at least one point. If they only get one point then they would need the Ducks to lose in any fashion.

Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks could clinch the top seed in the Western Conference and a first round matchup against the Dallas Stars if they get at least one point.

Tampa Bay Lightning

The Bolts would clinch the no.2 seed and home ice advantage if the Montreal Canadians lose against the New York Rangers in regulation

Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers would clinch the no. 3 seed in the Metro Division and a first round matchup against the New York Rangers if they beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in regulation or overtimeOR if the Columbus Blue Jackets lose to the Florida Panthers in any fashion or beat the Panther in a shootout.

* The Ducks could move within one point of the Bruins in the race for the Presidents Trophy.

* The Canadiens could leapfrog the Lightning for the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Division.

* The Blue Jackets could leapfrog the Flyers for the No. 3 seed in the Metropolitan Division.

* By virtue of their win, the Stars clinched the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference and the final berth for the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. They will face either Avalanche, Blues or Ducks in the first round of the postseason.
