Redskins’ Morris Only Has Bruised Ribs

Redskins_Alfred_Morris_2012Washington Redskins starting running back Alfred Morris left the third quarter of Sunday’s 24-14 win over the Oakland Raiders having suffered what the team described as a rib contusion.

Morris didn’t speak to reporters after the game, and the Redskins didn’t yet know how seriously bruised his ribs were. Fortunately for Morris, the Redskins have a bye this coming week and will not play again until Oct. 13 at Dallas.

“Alfred’s ribs are a little sore right now,” Coach Mike Shanahan said. “I don’t know how serious it is, but we’ll wait and see on that.”
