There has been talk for quite some time in regards to creating an NFL team in London. During the offseason, we’ve looked at possibilities of this happening, and now someone else thinks that playing in London will lead to the creation of a team in no time.
Well, maybe within five years, or so. Atlanta Falcons‘ owner Arthur Blank says that having teams play in Europe, will lead to a franchise there.
Blank told theMMQB.com that London is a big city so by having games there, the eventual cause of that will be to actually create a London team. Just how long until this happens?
Blank says it’s less than you might think and he sees no reason why it’s going to slow down anytime soon.
He’s right. Look at the success of the London games that have taken place there already. Fans like to travel there and it’s good for the city, too.
It’s not as easy as it sounds, though. There are some logistical issues that will need to be worked out before creating a permanent team in Europe.
