Former University of Louisville and Miami Northwestern quarterback Teddy Bridgewater opted not to throw or run in last month’s NFL Scouting Combine, instead choosing to put all his eggs in one basket — at his Louisville pro day today.
Bridgewater, a junior, opted to forgo his senior season at Louisville, meaning he can’t fall back on a Senior Bowl performance either. Here’s why he chose to skip the events in Indy:
According to NFL.com’s Dan Parr, head coaches from multiple teams will be in attendance, including Bill O’Brien of the Houston Texans, Chip Kelly of the Philadelphia Eagles, Dennis Allen of the Oakland Raiders and Ken Whisenhunt of the Tennessee Titans.
Bridgewater also had a private meeting with representatives from the Minnesota Vikings yesterday, according to NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport.
