Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookies just wrapped up their first week as pros, and for offensive guard Kadeem Edwards it’s been an eye-opening experience. It started with arriving at One Buc Place and getting a chance to practice with the veterans, something Edwards said was much more difficult and better prepared him for rookie camp practices.
“Earlier during the week it was a lot more – it was a new groove. I just got here and went to training with the veterans. This was fairly easy compared to what we were doing during the week, so I think that helped me a lot.”
He’s also gotten some help from offensive line coach George Warhop, who spent a lot of time this weekend working with the rookies on everything from hand usage to blocking and footwork, refining their technique as much as possible.
“He’s very, very detailed. He’s detailed [on] the plays – he wants everything right. I’ve never had a coach who wanted everything right from every detail, from every point, every direction. He wants everything right.”
