The start of offseason workouts wasn’t the only business the Titans took care of on Monday.
They also agreed on a restructured contract with defensive end Kamerion Wimbley. Reports emerged late last week that the team wanted Wimbley to take a pay cut to remain with the team for the 2014 season, an option that Wimbley was considering after saying earlier in the offseason that he wanted to stay in Tennessee.
Wimbley was due to make $6 million in 2014 in the third year of a five-year deal that’s already paid him $15.5 million. He was scheduled to make $19.5 million more over the final three years, but Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that it is now a three-year, $9 million deal.
