Changes are coming to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014 — a new helmet and a new logo — and they’ll be unveiled Thursday night on NFL Network.
This was the big surprise Hall of Famer Warren Sapp alluded to yesterday when he tweeted:
Yooooo BIG @TBBuccaneers news coming from me tomorrow morning!!! All I can say is watch @NFLNetwork this Thursday (8PM EST)!!!!
Sapp, along with defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, will unveil the new helmets, which, according to Sapp, feature a chrome grill.
This will be the team’s first uniform change since 1997, when the Bucs abandoned the ole’ “Bucco Bruce” and creamsicle orange in exchange for the “skull and swords” logo with red, black and pewter.
The changes will be unveiled during a segment of NFL Total Access on NFL Network, Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
