The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed their first-round draft pick Mike Evans, the team announced Thursday, the final day of minicamp.
Terms of the agreement were not immediately available, but it is a four-year deal with a fifth-year option.
The seventh overall pick and second receiver selected in this year’s NFL Draft, Evans is expected to start opposite veteran Vincent Jackson this season.
He started all 26 games of his college career at Texas A&M, finishing with 151 receptions for 2,499 yards and 17 touchdowns.
He also holds the two highest single-game receiving marks in school history, with 287 yards against Auburn and 279 yards against Alabama.
