There are some big expectations for New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker to do some pretty great things this year and coach Rex Ryan isn’t giving away any secrets.
When Ryan was asked about the possibility of Decker being the No. 1 receiver, he gave a pretty unexpected answer.
According to Yahoo Sports, Ryan told Newsday how impressed he was by him.
“[Decker] did catch eight touchdown passes when [Tim] Tebow was the quarterback. Hey, that’s pretty impressive.”
Well, he didn’t exactly say, “yes.” But that was a pretty harsh dig at Tebow.
Decker is a really great receiver so chances are, Ryan wants us to pretend to be shocked when he see how good he really is this year.
Well played, Ryan.
