Peyton Manning Wins Another Award

Broncos_Peyton_Manning_2013Was there any doubt about who would be the AFC’s offensive player of the month?

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning played perhaps the best four-game stretch of a career that has had plenty of impressive four-game stretches and it’s no surprise that he has been named the AFC offensive player of the month for September.

Manning completed 75 percent of his passes in four Broncos wins and threw for 1,470 yards and 16 touchdowns without throwing an interception. He tied an NFL record by throwing seven touchdowns in the season-opening victory over the Ravens, completed 84.5 percent of his passes in wins over the Raiders and Eagles to close out the month and the 16 touchdowns are the most of any player in history through the first four weeks of a season.
