Thursday afternoon I joined Ryan Bass, who was filling in on the Charlie Bernstein Show, to talk about the outlook of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after one week of training camp practices.
We talked about Josh Freeman and how he’s looked in camp so far, along with rookie quarterback Mike Glennon and his level readiness to play this year, if needed.
We discussed the status of defensive end Adrian Clayborn, and how his absence for a few days in camp may actually benefit several players who need more reps along the defensive line.
We discussed Darrelle Revis, and whether he’ll play in next week’s preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens, and if so, what are realistic expectations for him.
We also talked about under-the-radar guys like wide receiver Chris Owusu and cornerback Rashaan Melvin and how those two have had a strong camp.
