In Week Two, Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh applied a vicious elbow to the helmet of Cardinals tackle Eric Winston. The league, we’re told, believed the maneuver to be a clear violation of the rules.
But the NFL has now advised Pro Football Talk that Suh won’t be fined for it.
The reason for the decision not to fine him hasn’t been disclosed.
The problem apparently is that the NFL didn’t notice the hit during the normal course of doling out fines..
Regardless of the reason(s), Suh got away with one in Week Two. We’ve got a feeling it’s the only time something he does on the field will go unnoticed by the league office.
