In March, Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd said that he had been cleared to begin running and lifting weights after the neck injury that forced him off the field on a stretcher last September.
That injury ended Floyd’s season and cast doubt on his ability to return to the field at any point in the future. It’s still not clear whether Floyd will be able to play again, but he’s still working on a comeback.
Floyd hasn’t been cleared to do all activities and it may be a while before that comes as he was still experiencing discomfort in his neck last month. It’s a small step, then, but a necessary one if Floyd is going to be able to resume his playing career.
