Just In: Bucs Sign Former FSU FB Lonnie Pryor

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed former Florida State fullback Lonnie Pryor this morning from Jacksonville’s practice squad, a source told Sports Talk Florida.

The 6-foot, 229-pound former running back out of Okeechobee High School was the 2012 Orange Bowl MVP, where he rushed for a career-high 134 yards and two touchdowns.

In Pryor’s senior year, he rushed for 376-yards and eight touchdowns, finishing his Seminoles career with 23 touchdowns (18 rushing and five receiving) despite not being a primary ball carrier.

Pryor’s signing comes a day after the Bucs placed cornerback Mike Adams on season-ending injured reserve.
