The Jets left the draft with 12 new members of the team, leaving them with more work than most teams when it comes to getting their rookies under contract.
They may pale in comparison to the Bears, who are already done signing their picks, but they are making good progress all the same as linebacker Jeremiah George has agreed to his four-year rookie contract.
George led the Big 12 in tackles in his final season at Iowa State, which got him drafted in the fifth round by the Jets even though he’s a bit undersized for an NFL inside linebacker at 5-11 and 234 pounds.
The Jets also signed linebacker Trevor Reilly and offensive lineman Dakota Dozier on Wednesday.
